BERKELEY – A young girl remains in the hospital after a sledding accident earlier today in the township.
Berkeley Township Police said the girl, who they didn’t identify or release her age, suffered moderate head and neck injuries in the incident outside a home on Drake Drive.
According to a post on the police department’s Facebook page, the girl stuck a parked car while sledding. First responders were called to the scene and gave her an evaluation before calling in reinforcements.
The girl was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment.
