BEACHWOOD – A report of a death by overdose at Beachwood Elementary School was unfounded, police said.
A report was made on a Facebook group that there had been an overdose in the vicinity of the school but provided little information. The school was closed at the time, as it was Jan. 1.
Police Chief Robert Tapp said that a call did come in for an unconscious male in a vehicle. However, the subject was alert and conscious when police arrived. He was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River by Beachwood First Aid for medical evaluation.
