BEACHWOOD – The 2nd Annual Beachwood Community Day will be held on Saturday, August 26, from noon to 4 p.m. at Birch and Surf Park. The rain date is August 27.

The park will be filled with entertainment such as face painting, inflatable rides and a petting zoo. Several food vendors will be on hand. Local civic organizations will have booths and health assessments will be provided.

The family-friendly event coincides with the celebration of the borough’s 100th anniversary. The municipality was incorporated in 1917.

A special guest appearance will be made by Joetta Clark Diggs, four-time Olympic Athlete and track and field champion (1988, 1992, 1996, and 2000), now the Spokeswoman for the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute’s Mayors Wellness Campaign.
