BERKELEY – A woman was struck while riding a bicycle in the township, according to police.
The 60-year-old Toms River resident was riding down Davenport Road near Portsmouth Drive on Saturday when she was struck by a car driven by a 92-year-old Toms River man.
Police said she was riding in the same direction when she swerved into the road from the shoulder and was struck. She was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.
The man in the car was not injured.
