TOMS RIVER – An Ocean Gate woman was arrested March 15 on drug charges, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Amanda Howland, 27, was charged with possession of cocaine in a quantity of less than one half ounce with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine in a quantity of less than one half ounce with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a recreational zone, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said that detective from his narcotics strike force, working with the regional SWAT team and member of the sheriff’s department K-9 unit and Ocean Gate and Berkeley Township police, executed a search warrant on an Ocean Gate residence Friday.
Authorities allege Howland was distributing crack cocaine out of her residence throughout Ocean Gate and Berkeley.
She is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
