BERKELEY – Customers who use Aqua New Jersey might see some temporary discoloration or a change in service while the company upgrades its systems on Aug. 24, according to a message from Mayor Carmen Amato.
The water company is working on a $12 million filtration project to address iron and other concerns.
The construction will occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Aug. 24, and is expected to impact residents in the area of JFK Boulevard, Stanton Avenue, Gladney Street and nearby streets.
They might notice a decrease in water pressure or no water at all.
If the water comes out discolored, they are urged to run the water on cold until it runs clear.
