Fatal Three-Car Crash Under Investigation

  FREEHOLD – Authorities are investigating a three-car crash that left a 20-year-old driver dead and several injured.

  The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Monday on Jackson Mills Road in the vicinity of Geisler Road. According to officials, a 20-year-old man was driving northbound on Jackson Mills Road in a 2017 Infiniti Q50, when the car collided with a 2017 Ford Transit Van, driven by a 40-year-old man.

  As the collision occurred, a 2017 Subaru Legacy, driven by a 21-year-old man, was also traveling southbound on Jackson Mills Road behind the van, when the driver sideswiped the passenger side of the van, coming to a stop off to the right-hand side of the road.

  The 20-year-old driver was brought to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following morning. The two other drivers were both transported to a separate hospital with moderate injuries, officials said.

  The identities of those involved in the crash have not yet been revealed by authorities. At this time, no charges or summonses have been issued.
