Police Seek Help IDing Assault Suspect In Ocean County

  MANCHESTER – The Manchester Township Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a possible suspect involved in an assault.

  The incident occurred on May 31 in the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester Township.

  “In the interest of thoroughness and accuracy, law enforcement officials conducted numerous investigative steps before releasing a composite sketch of the suspect. Given the current status of the investigation, we are now turning to the community for help,” Manchester Police said in a statement.

  The suspect is described as a Hispanic man around 41 to 50 years old, about 5′ 4″ and 145 lbs. medium build. He has brown eyes, brown hair, and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. The suspect may have a small tribal tattoo of a triangle on his left hand, authorities said.

  “We want to emphasize that there is no potential harm to the public at this time. This appears to be an isolated event, and our primary goal is to identify and locate the individual involved,” police said.
