BRICK – A man who used a home in Brick and a storefront in Asbury Park to distribute cocaine was sentenced to jail this week, officials said.
Henry Burns, 56, of Brick, will serve 15 years for dealing cocaine. He also received a concurrent sentence – meaning that the two sentences are happening at the same time – of 10 years for a weapon charge. He will not be allowed parole for the first five years.
An investigation between April and May of 2023 centered around Burns. Searches of his home turned up heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, naproxen, alprazolam, ten handguns, high-capacity ammunition magazines, multiple rounds of ammunition, and approximately $8,000.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer acknowledged the efforts of Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Burke who handled the case on behalf of the State, and commended the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, United States Drug Enforcement Administration, Brick Township Police Department SWAT Team, Asbury Park Police Department, City of Deal Police Department K-9 Unit, and Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, for their collaborative efforts in connection with this investigation leading to Burns’ guilty pleas, and now his state prison sentence.
