
SEA BRIGHT – A body was found floating of the shore in Sea Bright this past Sunday, New Jersey State Police said.
A passerby called 911 around 11:35 a.m. on August 29 after seeing a body floating in the ocean about a quarter mile off the shore, Sgt. Alejandro Goez said.
Members of the NJSP Marine Services Bureau, the U.S. Coast Guard and Sea Bright Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and transported the body to shore. The body was then was turned over to the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office, Sgt. Alejandro Goez said.
At this time, the identification is pending a post-mortem examination and the incident remains under investigation.
