LACEY – To meet the goal to vaccinate 335 residents over the next eight weeks, a series of vaccination clinics have been scheduled in the township.
Lacey officials are reminding residents that getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is one of the best ways to protect yourself and everyone around you. The more people who get vaccinated against COVID-19, the better it is for everyone.
Mayor Peter Curatolo, who recently appeared in a township made PSA video said “by stopping the spread of COVID-19, we can keep businesses, schools, and other venues open. Stopping the spread of COVID-19 gets us closer to the end of the pandemic.”
The Governor’s Office has been monitoring vaccine rates and unfortunately Lacey is only at 56%. Governor Phil Murphy wants all communities to be at 70% or greater and he has given those towns eight weeks to increase their vaccination rate.
While Lacey has lower vaccination rates in the age groups of 12 to 27 and 29 to 49. There are five other Ocean County municipalities and 11 other counties throughout the state in the same situation.
Below is a list of upcoming vaccination clinics in Lacey Township along with informational flyers related to the myths regarding the COVID-19 vaccination and the importance of getting those 12 and older vaccinated.
“While we understand that getting vaccinated is a personal decision, we ask that you consider getting vaccinated. We all play a part in this effort, and you are key,” the mayor said.

August 3 – Lacey Library – 10 E. Lacey Road, Forked River – 3 to 7 p.m.
August 16, – Mill Pond School – Western Boulevard, Lanoka Harbor – 2 to 7 p.m.
September 25 – Gille Park – Manchester Avenue, Forked River – Noon – 3 p.m.
