STAFFORD – Township police arrested a Little Egg Harbor man for multiple theft offenses.
The charges toward Michael Simmons, 32, concern unauthorized use of credit cards and theft related offenses. He was employed as a Certified Nurse Assistance at Genesis Elder Care between 2018 and 2020 and is alleged to have stolen a credit card from a patient under his care.
The stolen credit card was later used at various businesses to buy high-end electronics. Simmons was charged with multiple theft related offenses and remains in the Ocean County Jail on a no bail warrant, pending a future court appearance in Ocean County Superior Court.
This is an ongoing investigation and further information is expected following the completion of the investigation being conducted by Detective Drew Smith.
