BERKELEY – After hitting a light pole, mail box and a tree, a motor vehicle crash results in the death of the elderly driver.
On March 20, the Berkeley Township Police Department responded to a call about a single vehicle crash on Bimini Drive. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a senior female driving a black Toyota compact car that had ran off the road to the right and hit a light pole, mail box and a tree. The elderly female was found unconscious and not breathing in the driver seat with multiple airbag deployments.
Officers quickly performed life saving measures to the female with Berkeley Township EMS and Hackensack Meridian Medics arrived on scene to assist.
The female, identified as a Nancy Reardin, 91-years-old of Berkeley, was transported to Community Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
