MANCHESTER – With power still out for many homes, township officials are letting residents know that there are cooling stations available for them to get in from the heat.
The municipal building at 1 Colonial Drive is available as a cooling station for residents, and bottles of water will be available. They can also recharge their phones. If you are unable to make it up the staircase at the Court Room entrance to the municipal building, you should see the attendant for help.
Additionally, there will be a cooling station available at the Whiting Firehouse.
The cooling stations will be available on Aug. 6 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and on Aug. 7 until power has been restored from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Face masks and social distancing will be required.
