STAFFORD – A Jeep caught fire next to the Taco Bell on Route 72, threatening the building and the people inside until an officer’s brave actions saved both.
The Stafford Police Department posted a video of a township police vehicle driven by Officer Oler pushing the truck away from the building and into the parking lot. By pushing it away from the building, it prevented the fire from spreading to the building.
“We often talk about our working relationship with our law enforcement family, here’s just another reason we have so much respect for them,” read a statement from Stafford Stafford Volunteer Fire Company No. 1. “This officer’s quick thinking saved this building from severe fire damage. Well done Stafford Township Police Department! Command was established by the Deputy Chief who directed the Engine for a quick knock of this vehicle fire.”
