POINT PLEASANT – A Mays Landing woman was charged with two counts of terroristic threats and aggravated assault by borough police.
Police Lt. David Radsniak responded to the Point Pleasant Inn at 7:29 p.m. on April 14, as part of a a well-being check. He and another officer were greeted at the door by 22-year-old Kayla Kraus at the door.
Kraus was described by police as being in a very agitated and aggressive towards the responding officers. She continued to advance towards the officers while repeating the word “coronavirus”, implying that she was infected with the disease.
The woman refused to comply with the directions of the officers and continued her advance, striking Lt. Radsniak’s arm during the incident.
Kraus who was residing at the Point Pleasant Inn at the time of the incident was charged with two counts of Terroristic Threats and Aggravated Assault by Lt. Radsniak and released on a complaint-summons pending her first appearance in Superior Court, in accordance with the New Jersey bail reform law.
She was also transported to Ocean Medical Center for an evaluation.
