SOUTH TOMS RIVER – Police have announced that the missing teen from South Toms River has been found safe after a week long search.
According to South Toms River Police, 17-year-old Lissette Amaro-Meneses was located Friday after not being seen since October 3.
WOBM reported that police are coordinating efforts to bring her back home safely.
Lissette’s mother, Guadalupe Meneses told police she walked out of school during her lunch period around 10:20 a.m. that day.
Police also reported that the missing teen suffers from kidney issues and her mother is concerned that she may face health complications if she goes without treatment.
No additional information was released.
