TOMS RIVER — Motorists, be aware: Hooper Avenue has been shut down temporarily between Dayton Avenue and Madison Avenue for construction.
Authorities did not say when the road will be reopened and are advising drivers to expect delays from traffic shifts or find an alternate route.
Police sent out a Nixle alert about the road closure earlier today, but no specifics about the work being done were provided.
