MANASQUAN – The Glimmer Glass Bridge (W-9) will be closed on Tuesday, July 30 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. while maintenance work is performed.
“The cables on the bridge need to be realigned, so we will need to close the bridge for six hours,” said Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to the Department of Public Works and Engineering. “We appreciate the patience of our residents and visitors while this maintenance work is being performed.”
The bridge will continue to operate normally for marine traffic, but is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic while the work is being performed. Vehicles should follow the posted detour signs.
In total, the County maintains of approximately 1,000 lane miles of roads, 980 bridges and culverts and 250 traffic signals and beacons.
