TOMS RIVER – A Toms River man was apprehended by authorities a mere 7 minutes after robbing the Wells Fargo bank on Route 9.
Daniel Brown, 30, was seen exiting a wooded area on Route 9 just south of the bank at 9:58 a.m. Thursday. Just 7 minutes before, police were dispatched to the bank after a reported robbery.
Police found the stolen money on Brown, who was arrested and charged with robbery and theft, and taken to Ocean County Jail.
Brown entered the bank at 9:51 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and headed across the parking lot on foot.
No weapon was found on Brown.
