LAKEWOOD – A mother and child were struck by a vehicle on Route 88 this afternoon. The pair was hospitalized for minor injuries, police said.
On June 11, police and EMS responded to the scene near Clover Street. According to authorities, the mother and child involved in the accident sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Route 88 has been shut down in the area of the accident, between Pearl and Clover Streets, according to police.
