SEASIDE HEIGHTS – A man was reportedly accidentally stabbed in the back at a local motel Friday morning.
Jessica Heubach, 27, of New Platz, New York, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Ptl. Matthew Decataldo responded to the Surfside Motel at 6 a.m. after a male was stabbed in the back. The man, a 42-year-old from Poughkeepsie, New York, was taken by Tri Boro First Aid Squad to a landing zone in Seaside Park and then flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He’s listed in stable condition.
Heubach told police she was playing around with the knife when she accidentally stabbed the victim.
