PLUMSTED – Police confirmed that a motorcyclist has died from injuries sustained striking a deer earlier in the week.
Thomas Coufal Jr., 66, of Berkeley, was driving on Route 539 on Monday morning near milepost 32 when he collided with a deer, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
He was airlifted to a trauma center of Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, where he succumbed to his injuries this morning..
