SEASIDE HEIGHTS – A Seaside Heights man was arrested recently for failing to register as a sex offender after moving, announced Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

On May 8, 62-year old Edward Krogman was arrested by the Seaside Heights Police Department.

“Since 1994, Megan’s Law requires certain offenders to register with their local police departments whenever they move and/or change their residential address.  Failure to comply with this obligation is a third degree crime” Prosecutor Billhimer said.

Krogman reportedly moved from his last known address without registering or notifying any law enforcement agencies.

He is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

“My office, in conjunction with local police departments will be vigilant in making sure individuals required to register under Megan’s Law are in compliance with their obligations” Prosecutor Billhimer said.

Anyone with information on this case should contact Detective John Argento of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-929 2027 ext. 2903.
