Police Search For Car Burglary Suspect

STAFFORD – A series of car burglaries in the Southern Ocean County area, with one that occurred early this morning, have police asking for information on the suspect’s whereabouts.

The Stafford Township Police Department confirm 35-year-old Kevin Cunningham, with a last known address of Port Monmouth, New Jersey, is wanted in connection with a series of car burglaries and thefts that occurred in the town.

Lieutenant James Vaughn said Cunningham is wanted for several car burglaries that have occurred in March and April in the Ocean Acres section of Stafford and for allegedly using stolen credit cards at ShopRite and Costco.

Vaughn added that they saw him on a RING doorbell camera breaking into cars in Cedar Run during the early morning hours of Friday, May 3.

Cunningham operates a 2002 silver Jeep Liberty, and is known to frequent Stafford Township, Lacey Township and Toms River.
