TRENTON – Route 70 between Pemberton and Manchester townships will be reduced to alternating one lane overnight Thursday into Friday, NJDOT officials said.
The road will be restriped on this seven-mile stretch between North Branch Road and Whiting New Egypt Road/CR539 from 8 p.m. April 18 to 6 a.m. April 19. Traffic will be open in both directions by Friday morning. This new configuration will remain in place for three months.
Daytime work will continue weekdays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional overnight work as necessary.
The $12.2 million improvement project includes a full depth pavement reclamation and rubblization, milling and paving, guiderail upgrades, construction of ADA compliant curbs and ramps, and drainage improvements. Intersection work will also be done at Whiting New Egypt Road/CR539.
