FREEHOLD BOROUGH – Police said a Neptune woman came to the Monmouth County Courthouse with a high capacity gun magazine and drugs in her possession on Oct. 31.
Noelle Boynton, 35, was arrested as she entered the courthouse Wednesday. She placed her pocketbook on the X-ray machine, which showed a high capacity gun magazine, loaded with ammunition. Police, who received consent to search her vehicle, found 10 bags of heroin and OxyContin. Authorities said no gun was found, but they will investigate further.
Sheriff Shaun Golden said Boynton was charged with possession of a high capacity magazine and possession of CDS. She also has numerous outstanding warrants from various municipalities and an outstanding warrant from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
“The measures taken to provide the utmost security for visitors and those who work at the Monmouth County Courthouse are top notch,” Golden said. “An arrest like this helps keep dangerous weapons and drugs out of the workplace and our communities. I commend the diligent and exceptional police work of all involved.”
The officers involved in the arrest were Michael Haines and Daniel Tacopino.
