JACKSON – A local funeral director was one of six participants chosen for Great Adventure’s 30-Hour Coffin Challenge, happening Oct. 28-29.
Howell resident Leticia Gomez, who has reportedly worked as a funeral director, was one of 4,300 applicants chosen to participate.
She’ll be joined by Brandon Hardy of Bear, Delaware; Vincent Gatens of Staten Island, New York; Jennifer Gorden of Philadelphia; Shane Madak of Groton, Connecticut; and Dan Murter of Levittown, Pennsylvania.
Participants will have a 6-minute-per-hour bathroom break and have to eat meals in the coffin. Winners will receive season and dining passes, $300 and other prizes.
They’ll also get to keep their coffins.
The 30-hour Coffin Challenge is part of Great Adventure’s Fright Fest, which runs through Halloween.
