JACKSON – Jackson Liberty Band brings home another state title following their recent win at the Tournament of Bands State Championships.

The Jackson Liberty Band is NJ State Championship, marking a milestone in Jackson history as they are now a part of the Open Class circuit, of which only the highest scoring bands perform in. Jackson Liberty Band has also earned the title of Best Overall Grand Champion, which means they had the highest score out of all competing groups sizes and classes.

“I am proud of this group! They worked hard all season, outscored various bands throughout the year and they earned every award they received,” stated Band Director Scott Katona.

Page Shields, the group’s drum major said, “I am so proud of how far we have come this year as a group. Through a great deal of practice and team work, our band had exceeded all expectations.”

The Jackson Liberty Band will be traveling to West Chester, PA in December to participate in the West Chester Christmas Parade.
