BERKELEY – Multiple units responded to a fire that destroyed a boat and but did not injure anyone.
The fire started yesterday afternoon and, with the help of many departments, it was contained to the boat, according to officials.
Ocean County Scanner News was first to report the incident as it was happening.
Manitou Park Water Rescue Unit 1816 worked with Berkeley Hazmat Station 85 to minimize the amount of contaminants entering the lagoons.
The following agencies responded: Bayville Fire Department, Manitou Park Fire Company, Ocean County Fire Coordinators, Ocean County Fire Marshall’s Office, Berkeley Twp. EMS, Berkeley Police Department, New Jersey State Police, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, and Tow Boat US.
