WHITING – A Wellness Fair will take place Saturday, July 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 180 Route 539, Whiting. The event, open to the public, will feature Whiting businesses and complementary practitioners from surrounding town.
Some of the local businesses, members of the Whiting Business Association and St. Stephen’s, will discuss services, including All-Care Physical Therapy, Village Opticians, The Whiting Pharmacy, and The Whiting Flower Shoppe. Carolyn Norulak will be representing Avon’s new line of supplements, Debbie DeNourie will be offering Reiki sessions, and Debra Roeder Shaw, LMT, will be offering Chair Massage sessions. An RN will take free blood pressure readings.
Informative talks include, Medicare and Insurance Solutions for those Turning 65 by Phoebe Shagan of Reliable Health Solutions, RHS, LLC; Social Security Options by Richard Haas; Home Care Options by Home Helpers; and Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Young Living Essential Oil products and services by Ocean Integrated Wellness Center of Toms River and New Egypt.
Some businesses will be charging for their products and services. Food for purchase, including wraps and fruit and vegetable salads, and herbal teas will be available. The Seaside Ramblers, a group of Bluegrass / Folk musicians who met up at the Albert Music Hall are providing music. The Seaside Ramblers also entertain on the Boardwalk at Seaside Heights before the fireworks on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m., across from Lucky Leo’s.
