SEASIDE HEIGHTS – The suspect in a case of public sex on church property has pled not guilty in municipal court.
Police have charged Noelle Smart, 48, and Anthony Getchius, 43, with lewdness after a priest spotted them being intimate in a garden between Our Lady of Perpetual Help’s church and the rectory just after noon on May 22. They had been described as homeless, although they were also listed as being from Jersey City and Newark, respectively.
They were both charged with disorderly conduct, disrobing in public, and public intoxication, according to police.
