HOWELL – A police investigation found that a faulty alarm sensor was the cause of an unexpected evacuation at Howell High School on May 24. The faulty alarm sensor caused a non-scheduled fire alarm, according to police.
There were 10 police units that responded to the alarm and formed a perimeter around the school, after being notified by an officer inside the school.
Police stated that the situation was handled and students have since returned to class.
