TOMS RIVER – The ramps of the beleaguered intersection at route 166 and 37 have been opened, according to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.
The state’s project would be widening part of the road, changing the traffic signal, adding a median barrier, drainage, a retaining wall, and signage. It was estimated to cost $11.7, and local residents, business owners, and politicians expressed frustration at delays.
