BRICK – A baseball legend is helping a long-time family restaurant celebrate 50 years in business.
Roy Rogers, the Frederick, Maryland-based fast food chain, has signed Cal Ripken Jr. as its 2018 spokesman. As part of that partnership, Ripken will be visiting the Brick location, 72 Brick Blvd., 5-6 p.m. April 30.
“Roy Rogers is a brand I have known and enjoyed since I was a kid and I am thrilled to partner with them in their 50th year,” said Cal Ripken, Jr. “They are helping our foundation and looking to grow and I am excited to be a part of it.”
Ripken founded the Carl Ripken Sr. Foundation in 2001, in honor of his father. The national foundation builds youth development parks and multipurpose turf fields for underserved youth.
As part of the celebration, Roy Rogers will roll back prices, offer prizes through different contests, and offer a commemorative cup benefitting the foundation and restaurant communities.
