TOMS RIVER – Police reported that there was no reason to believe that the case of a young man found dead on a bench in front of a restaurant was a homicide.

Jaime Kolbasowski, 28, of Berkeley Township was discovered on Monday around noon near the IHOP location on Route 37, police confirmed to Jersey Shore Online.

Kolbasowski was being mourned this week by friends and relatives on social media, talking about how he always had a smile on his face. Photos posted on his memorial page at the funeral home showed his close relationship with family.

The cause of his death is not yet known, but police said that there was no reason to believe that foul play was involved.

The death is under investigation by township Detectives Patrick Jacques and Louis Santora, along with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office and Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office, police said.
