TOMS RIVER – Township police made a grim discovery behind a shopping center on Thursday morning. The body of a 47-year-old man was located in the woods.
Toms River Police Spokesperson Jillian Messina said the body was found in the wooded area behind the Kohl’s shopping center on Route 37.
Messina told Jersey Shore Online that investigators do not suspect foul play or anything of a suspicious nature.
Messina also added that they are not releasing the man, described as a transient, pending next of kin notification.
The investigation is ongoing.
